Book review | My thoughts—The Contingency Plan

Book four in The Lonely Heart series by Latrivia Welch is a second chance, secret baby romance. Charlene “Charlie” Meadows was dating Sullivan “Sully” Orrin until one day he broke her heart. Charlie and Sully became close while working on his brother’s bid for a U.S. House seat, but he lost. During the course of their relationship, Sully taught Charlie about making sure she always had a contingency plan. There was no way Charlie nor Sully could have planned for their breakup. Seven years have past and Charlie and Sully meet again. The spark is still there between them, but Charlie is not free. She is now an engaged woman getting ready to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Let’s not forget that contingency plan. Sully wants one thing from Charlie: for her to provide her eggs so that he can have a child. This was Sully’s plan always to have a piece of Charlie with him (my opinion). You always have to wonder how this will all play out in the future. While I found this to be a nice story to read, I could have done without the cheating. The author wrapped this story up rather nicely. I would call the story an oldie but goodie.
