Breaking the Epigraph

Books are my passion

Book review | My thoughts—A Night With Mr. Right

2 min read
Riley Shaw

Raven McCoy dreamed of her wedding since she was a little girl. That day was upon her until the groom never showed, and Raven found herself running down the road in her wedding gown. That’s when Lorenzo ‘Enzo’ Ortega saw her. He fell in love with her at first sight, wish that she was his bride. Picture it Barcelona, Raven, and her friend Cathy are on the trip that should have been her honeymoon. Enzo sees the woman across the bar; she looks like his runaway bride. Somehow Raven winds up with a key to Enzo’s room. This one night will change Raven’s life and give Enzo a night with the “woman” who looks like the woman on that road in Austin.

My first ever story by Riley Shaw. The story needed fleshing out a bit; there were some things that I did quite understand. Why did people at the party know Enzo purchased her dress and jewels. How did they know? She is a nurse; she could have bought them for herself. The scene in the garden did make sense to me either. This could have been a good read if Raven showed a bit of maturity and had some self-esteem. She was too worried about what other people said and thought. The mom was portrayed like she was a Bella Donna instead of has the wife of a billionaire.
